The current State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert may be in line to replace Ambassador Nikki Haley.
President Trump is expected to announce Heather Nauert as his nomination as the next ambassador to the United Nations. Heather would only need to be confirmed by the Senate and she will be the new U.N. ambassador.

Heather Nauert has spent some time as a health insurance consultant, a news correspondent, and a Journalist. Her first government job was State Department spokeswoman which she has held since April 2017.
Many people believe Heather is not experienced enough to move into this position, but this would not be Trumps first time nominating someone with very little experience.
