HBO is making a mini-series titled “The Defiant Ones” about the rise of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. The four-part documentary series will be chronicling the incredible rise of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, two music industry titans who defied their humble beginnings to reshape pop culture as we know it.
It has been reported that the series will be directed by Allen Hughes.
Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine forged a bond that would revolutionize the music industry. Dre’s raw talent and lyrical genius, coupled with Iovine’s business acumen and vision, led to the creation of iconic labels like Death Row Records and Interscope Records, launching the careers of superstars like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent.
Currently there is no release date for the series.
