Errol Spence has officially withdrawn from his fight with Manny Pacquiao. Spence suffered a retinal tear to his eye.
“I’m very disappointed that I won’t be able to fight Manny Pacquiao. I was excited about the fight. Unfortunately, the doctors found a tear in my left eye and said I needed surgery on it ASAP and that there was no way I could fight with my eye in that condition.” – Errol Spence
Manny Pacquiao will now face off against WBA welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas on August 21, 2021, in Las Vegas.
There is no word on when Errol Spence will be able to return to the ring.
