Disney has announced that they will lay off 28,000 employees at their Califonia and Florida theme parks.
The primary reason for the job cuts is due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Disney theme park in Florida is open but at limited capacity. The Disney Land park in Califonia is still close since it was shut down earlier in 2020.
“We have made the very difficult decision to begin the process of reducing our workforce at our Parks, Experiences and Products segment at all levels” – Josh D’Amaro. Chairman of the parks unit
