It has been reported that the Chicago Cubs and Yu Darvish have agreed to a 6-year deal
worth $126 million.
That breaks down to an average of $21 million a year. There are incentives in the deal that can boost the overall deal to $150 million.
The Cubs feel this move strengthen their starting rotation and makes them the favorite to win the National League central division.
The 4-time all-star had a 3.86 ERA for the Rangers and Dodgers with a record of 10-12. I wasn’t impressed with Darvish in the 2017 season I thought he was average at best. I would not be surprised if he performs well in this upcoming season.
