Astronomers Discover Massive Solar Flares

Astronomers in Japan spotted something cool on a star 16 light-years away from earth. The name of the stars is red dwarf star AD Leonis.

The AD Leonis was blasting a dozen stellar flares into space. Red dwarf star AD Leonis was also pretty dim compared to similar stars in the cosmos.

“It’s the first time this phenomenon has been reported, and it’s thanks to the high precision of the Seimei Telescope,” – Kosuke Namekata

The flares from AD Leonis are being titled superflares.
