Conor McGregor has expressed interest in running for the 2025 Irish presidential election. The election is set to take place by October 24, 2025, to elect the tenth President of Ireland. He first teased the idea in September 2024 and formally announced his candidacy on social media in March 2025.
The UFC superstar has released a new video announcing his aspirations to run for president. To appear on the ballot, McGregor needs the support of either 20 members of the Oireachtas or four of Ireland’s 31 local authorities.
