ABC did not take long to react to Roseanne tweets towards Valerie Jarrett. Valerie was the senior advisor for the 44th president Barack Obama.
Roseanne tweets came off of racist which lead to ABC canceling the show.
“Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.” – Roseanne
It clearly was a joke, but a lot of people didn’t find it so funny. The tweet has since been deleted and Roseanne has apologized.
“I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me my joke was in bad taste.” – Roseanne
ABC released an official statement regarding Roseanne show and her tweet.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show” – Channing Dungey ABC Entertainment president
