The news comes amidst heightened interest, particularly following the conclusion of her popular talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” in 2022. The show’s final season was overshadowed by allegations of a toxic workplace environment, a stark contrast to the show’s reputation for promoting kindness.
DeGeneres hinted at addressing these controversies in a playful social media post. “To answer the questions everyone is asking me,” she wrote, “Yes, I’m going to talk about it. The special will be DeGeneres’ second collaboration with Netflix, following her 2018 special “Relatable.” It will also kick off a multi-city stand-up tour starting in San Diego on June 19th.
