The unofficial host of the 2018 All-Star game Bryce Harper put on an absolute show at the Home Run Derby. Harper needed a heroic effort to win the 2018 Home Runs Derby. Kyle Schwarber put up 18 home runs in the final round giving Harper a clear goal in order to win the Derby. The Nationals slugger started out slow having 9 home runs with under 2 minutes to go. Saying Harper got hot is an understatement. He managed to hit 9 home runs on 10 swings and tied Schwarber at 18 home runs at the end of his time. Because Brye hit 2 home runs over 440 feet he was awarded an extra 30 seconds. On the second pitch from his father Ron Harper, He hit his 19th and final home run to win the Home Run Derby.
