It official, The Trump administration will put tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico, and the European Union. The tariffs are effective May 31, 2018, at midnight. There will be a 10% tariff on aluminum imports and a 25% tariff on steel imports. The European Union has expressed their dismay on these new tariffs issued by the United States. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker simply said the tariffs are “unjustified”. Some political analyst believes this is the beginning of a trade war.
