Spotify is raising prices for its Premium subscription plans in the United States, with the changes set to hit most existing subscribers’ February 2026 bills. This marks the third U.S. price increase in roughly four years and continues the company’s push toward sustained profitability amid rising operational costs and platform investments.

The New Pricing Breakdown

New subscribers already see these updated rates on spotify.com/premium, while current U.S. Premium users will receive an email over the coming weeks explaining the change and when it will apply to their next billing cycle.

Spotify framed the adjustment as necessary “to keep delivering a great experience” and to “continue offering the best possible experience and benefit artists.” The company has rolled out several enhancements in recent periods, including expanded audiobook access for Premium users, AI-powered features like daylist and AI DJ, music videos for Premium subscribers in select markets, and eventual lossless audio support. These additions come alongside broader investments in podcasts, personalized recommendations, and creator tools.
