Interim trial results determine that Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine called Sputnik V is only 92% effective.
There were 16,000 participants in the interim trial to received the two-dose vaccine. The two shots of the vaccine are administered 21 days apart. According to the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), this trail will last for another 6 months.
Russia expects to begin mass vaccinations by the end of 2020 year.
