Newark Airport Shut Down Due To A Plane On Fire

An  Air Transat flight that traveling from Montreal to Florida was forced to land at Newark Airport. The plane was forced to land because a fire broke out in the plane’s cargo.

Newark airport has closed all of the runways until further notice.

Flights are being delays are ranging from 90 minutes to multiple hours. The fire department responded quickly and are working to get this fire under control.

They opened the runways around 10 am so the flight will resume but delays are still expected for some airlines.
