Fox 5 has reported a loud explosion occurred in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. NYPD and FDNY are currently on the scene and have shut the block down at this time. The explosion is suspected to happen at 8:30 PM eastern standard time. A local witness said that a bomb went off was inside of a dumpster. The explosion took place on 23rd and 6th avenue.
Some people were injured but it is unclear of how many or how extreme the injuries are. Details are still being uncovered at this moment. I am hearing 14 to 25 people were injured in this explosion.
