Donald Trump Sues CNN For $475 million

October 04, 2022

Donald Trump is suing CNN for defamation. He is seeking $475 million in punitive damages. The former United States president claims the news network had carried out a “campaign of libel and slander” against him.

The 29-page lawsuit claims that CNN ramped up its attack on Trump to denigrate him politically. Trump claims the network is in fear that he will run for president in 2024. The lawsuit also states the network used defamatory labels of ‘racist,’ ‘Russian lackey,’ ‘insurrectionist,’ and ultimately ‘Hitler,’.

CNN is yet to comment on the Defamation lawsuit.
