Amazon Workers In Germany To Go On Strike
Amazon Employees at 7 facilities in Germany are planning to go on strike.
The primary reason for the strike is over pay wages and the idea of having a labor union.
“The company must finally recognize the collective wage agreements for the retail and mail order sectors, wages and salaries at Amazon must no longer be determined in the style of a lord of the manor.” – Orhan Akman
This strike comes in the middle of Amazon’s discount holiday Prime Day. Amazon also plans to open a new warehouse in Germany that will create an estimated 2,800 jobs.
