Trump Tells NFL Players To Find Another Way To Protest
After the first fleet of NFL pre-season games were played some players still decided to kneel during the anthem even with the new rules.
President Trump was quick to comment and even give a suggestion on what the punishment should be for NFL players that continue to kneel.
“The NFL players are at it again – taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem. Numerous players, from different teams, wanted to show their “outrage” at something that most of them are unable to define. They make a fortune doing what they love Be happy, be cool! A football game, that fans are paying soooo much money to watch and enjoy, is no place to protest. Most of that money goes to the players anyway. Find another way to protest. Stand proudly for your National Anthem or be Suspended Without Pay!” – President Trump via Twitter
A few players exercised their right to remain in the locker room during the national anthem. Another small group of players stood for the anthem, but put their fist up. Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson for the Miami Dolphins knelt for the national anthem.
