True Religion To Close 27 Stores And Files For Bankruptcy
The 15-year-old premium jean company True Religion may be in some financial trouble. To no surprise because much larger retailers have run into the same problems.
The company has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy for protection from their creditor. They also have the intentions to close 27 of their 140 retail stores. E-commerce is king right now and it is killing the physical retail stores. It doesn’t sound like True Religion plans to shut its doors forever, but they are downsizing to attempt to readjust some things.
True Religion doesn’t seem as popular as it once did. Hip-hop played a big role into the popularity of the True Religion brand. Hip- hop is so fickle I guess consumers are considering the True Religion brand as not being “in style” right now.
Here is a list of the store that could be closing if they are not already.
